To all who participated in the Canyon de Chelly plein air painting workshop;
I just want to take a few minutes to say how glad I am to have met and painted with each of you. It was the first time I had the experience of being in nature with other artists and sharing that was truly a gift in my life. Even though I had some major "difficulties" I had to deal with about my own work, each of you was more than kind and caring. I am most grateful for all that was shared during that most amazing adventure.
Since returning home I have worked on some monotypes (one of a kind prints) the inspiration for which is some of the painting I did in the canyon. I am including one (hopefully for your enjoyment). If the place seems familiar it is because it is Face Rock, if it seems odd/backwards, it is because the nature of printmaking always results in a reversal of the original image on the plate.
So, thank you all again for all you added to the goodness of the workshop. With any luck, I will see some of you again.
