Frida Kahlo Tour © |
We will be staying in the charming town of Coyoacan, a southwestern suburb of Mexico City . This is Frida's home-town, where she was born in 1907 and also lived here for her last 13 years in “The Blue House” Thus, we will be able to walk in her footsteps every day, as we foray out to see many other sites. Coyoacan remains a delightful place, outside the urban sprawl of Mexico City . It is close to the University, featuring narrow, colonial-era streets, Café's and a Bohemian atmosphere. Plaza Hidalgo, Coyoacan's central plaza, and its lovely gardens, Jardin del Centenario, draw strollers who enjoy the musicians, crafts markets and mimes who set up there. Our Hotel is the HOLIDAY INN TLALPAN, located in the heart of Coyoacan, offers comfy rooms with cable TV, king sized beds, and a nice restaurant. |
